Brian Miller received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Southwestern University under the direction of Dr. Kenny Sheppard and received a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Stephen F. Austin under the direction of Dr. Tim King. His career has led him to work in multiple districts around Houston and he is excited to be part of Katy High School Choir family.
During his graduate work, Brian served as a graduate assistant to the choral department as well as an undergraduate conducting instructor and teaching assistant. He also served as the director of the SFASU Men’s Choir. Brian served as the 2016 TMEA All State Men’s Choir bass section leader and repeatedly serves as the bass section leader for the Stephen F Austin State University All-State Choir Camp. A lover of the arts, Brian has been involved in music and singing his entire life and continues to sing in and out of the classroom. Brian is a founding member of the professional Houston Men’s Choir and also currently sings with and serves as the bass section leader for Cantare Houston, a local professional ensemble.
Brian maintains membership in several music organizations such as TMEA, TCDA, Phi Mu Alpha, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
